What a Birthday!

Hi Everyone,

It was my big 60 last week and I've had so much fun celebrating!

My friends, Jane and Mark, took me to The Bug Parc at Lenwade, near Norwich. It was absolutely great and we saw so many creepy crawlies to inspire future projects. It was also followed by a delicious afternoon tea.

I spent the week out of the office at a Scrap Circle retreat in Northampton. I spent time making a photo album and reminiscing about my recent trip to India. I even created the printed paper myself using my doodle designs. I'm so pleased with how it's come out.

I also had a meal out with friends and family and have enjoyed lots of cake. It would be rude not to!

I'd like to say thank you to everyone who sent me birthday wishes.
I've been throughly spoilt and feel so loved.

This Friday, Alexandra Waylett and myself will be doing an online talk through our Indian adventures so far. Our trip in March was one to remember and we can't wait to share our experiences with you.
We'll also be telling you all about where we're heading next.

The Rust Effect - 3 Day Summer Workshop

21st - 23rd July 2025 - 10am - 4pm

I am so excited to announce this 3 Day Summer Workshop!

It will be 3 days of dyeing, stitching and crafting loveliness. It's your opportunity to put some time aside for yourself (and maybe with a friend) to dive into dyeing with rust.

Rust dyeing is a very simple technique and makes a plain piece of fabric into a very lovely piece that can be stitched onto, either by hand or sewing machine.
In this workshop we will be using anything rusty, a mordant, steam and an old iron too.We will be creating lots of different pieces so that you can take them home and use as you wish. We will be making a notebook cover.

That's it from me and as always,

Sit, Sew and Create.
